Let’s Take A Run!

We’re catching every non rainy, September day Charleston has to offer and adding a walk/run in Hampton Park to our routines before stepping across the street for our Pilates sessions!

There is nothing we love more than being on the corner of Hampton Park. The park adds so many extra opportunities for moving, from walking to running, roller blading to bike riding, and even valuable time spent outdoors sitting and reading or catching up on phone calls with loved ones. And it’s right in the middle of downtown Charleston — how perfect!

If you’ve been wanting to take advantage of this weather and start running, or pick it back up after a hiatus, try this weekly running plan for the fall.

Week One:
1st lap - Walk
2nd lap - Walk 1:00, run :30, walk 1:00, run :30 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Brisk walk (a little quicker than the first lap)

Week Two:
1st lap - Walk
2nd lap - Walk 1:00, run 1:00, walk 1:00, run 1:00 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Brisk walk (a little quicker than the first lap)

Week Three:
1st lap - Walk 1:00, run :30, walk 1:00, run :30 on and off for the full lap
2nd lap - Walk 1:00, run 1:00, walk 1:00, run 1:00 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Walk

Week Four:
1st lap - Walk 1:00, run 1:00, walk 1:00, run 1:00 on and off for the full lap
2nd lap - Walk :30, run 1:30, walk :30, run 1:30 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Walk

Week Five:
1st lap - Run
2nd lap - Walk 1:00, run 1:30, walk 1:00, run 1:30 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Walk

Week Six:
1st lap - Run
2nd lap - Walk
3rd lap - Run

Week Seven:
1st lap - Run
2nd lap - Walk 1:00, run 2:00, walk 1:00, run 2:00 on and off for the full lap
3rd lap - Run

Week Eight:
1st lap - Run
2nd lap - Run (with two :30 walking breaks)
3rd lap - Run (with two :30 walking breaks)

Week Nine:
1st lap - Run
2nd lap - Run
3rd lap - Run
