Get to Know Wendy

Wendy is originally from Indiana, where she grew up dancing. She lived in Baltimore, Costa Rica, and Cincinnati during her 23-year career in corporate finance with Procter & Gamble, and took up tennis, Pilates and yoga to offset her desk job.

When she retired in 2018, she turned her passion for health and fitness into a second career, completing her Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates and RYT 200 yoga instructor certifications.

What’s your best advice for starting a workout routine?

Pick movement you enjoy and start slowly.  I don't like "cardio", but I love to dance and play tennis.  If lifting weights intimidates you, try other resistance training like Pilates.  Start with shorter workouts a few days a week and build from there.  Whatever you do, just get started.

Any fun facts?

I have 7 grandkids (and counting)!

My pups, Nell and Finn, are my world and you'll likely hear a story about them during class.
